Also the question on what to wear has been coming up, Here's what we are thinking for the shoot. We want there to be a variety in the images so all the Models, Photographers and Stylists have lots of variety to take home we are thinking:

It's going to be a mix of Institutional, School, Classy, and Street Clothes so everyone gets a mix of looks

So for starters, Bring a Nice dress, Something you'd wear to school/teacher look. And then Your normal street clothes/what YOU like to wear.

We're really starting to move on the upcomming shoot on the 25th

The Western Burbs Photo Club YLPSDW (You Like Photo’s So Do We!) Is hosting a Strobist/Model shoot on July 25th. Our Location is that of an old Jr. High School in Oswego, IL. We will have access to most of the building so this is going to be an awesome day! We now are for Make Up Artist's (MUA’s) and more Models and Stylists For our shoot. We are also working at finalizing the theme this week so if you have any idea's let us know. So far it's looking like kind of an institutional feel to it and a few ideas have been brought up and we are considering the following:

"One flew over the coocoos nest"
"Romeo and Juliet"
50's Time warp
"back to the future"

We are also posted on MM, MB and FB so if you'd like more information we are there.

Details of the shoot:

Time: 1pm on Saturday July 25th

We will be starting at 1pm and probably be all set up and rolling by 2. I''m figuring around 7 or 8 we'll be done and then maybe go get dinner and chat somewhere together with all those that are up for it. Also just as a side note for those that do have other things going it isn't mandatory to stay the whole day.

This will be a TFCD, shoot with images being sent to the Models within about 3 weeks.

Update:

The date is now set as Saturday July 25th. The locations are still tentative pending response from the facilities and also if anyone else knows of a place we could use PLEASE let me know!

Hey everybody,

We are looking at doing another large YLPSDW! meetup with an emphasis on Strobist and Model shooting like we did on the 18th. This also might be our first inside shoot if things work out. I'm currently looking into a few locations Wa Wa U and Old Traughber. If anyone has any contacts for either or a large open/inside location we could shoot at let me know.

This once again will be an all day affair like last time. ~ 1 and on. Now we I just need input from you guys, What day works best for everybody and what theme/looks do we want to go for the day? More information to come as we get this thing rolling.

YLPSDW Does Models UPDATE

Hey there everybody. We have decided on locations and times. More info inside :) Well yesterday Mr Hugo n I took a nice little ride about the area to finally nail down our locations for the shoot:

Farmhouse 3 In Oswego:
Corn Crib with Accessible upper level
2 Barns
Lots of tall grass and a gravel road
Farmhouse

Downtown Aurora:
Underside of BNSF Tracks, cool columns and Stairways
We will begin at the tracks and shoot and walk around slowly making it down Downer's to the Parking garage again and the cool backside of the paramount with the fire escapes and cool wall.

Theme we still haven't decided on but we will be going over that Friday. Will has offered his services as a stylist and we have talked about perhaps either a Modern Victorian or Post-Apocalyptic theme. What do you guys think? The nice thing about either one of those is that it'll work great for both locations.

Preliminary Itinerary (Will be finalized during the pre-meet this friday)

1:00 pm Meet up at Michaels 1620 Douglas Rd Oswego IL

1:30 pm have cars all loaded and Roll to Location #1

1:35~4:30 Shoot at Location #1

4:30 Pack up kit n people and roll to get some food, discuss and see what we've gotten so far

~5:30 Continue to Aurora for Location #2

5:40~Sundown Shoot in Aurora

After is all upto you guys. If some are upto it we can go to the Jericho house or something and do some light painting and finally do that "Wrong turn" Like shot for the group photo or we can call it a day

We are finally on our way for that Model/Fashion Meetup for Thursday June 18th. We have posted around at a few places for models, stylists and MUA's. Like always this will be a fun, moving, photo trip and we will probably be hitting up about 3 places Rural and Urban.
We are currently working on getting everything finally nailed down June 18th meetup. We are looking at doing a more fashion/model based meetup. This will be a ~ 3 location Environmental Portrait/Fashion shoot. Currently we do have info up on the FB page, Craigslist, Model Mayhem, Flickr and Model Brigade. So now the waiting begins. So far for being jus the first day of posting we already have had a few hits from interested people so it's looking good. The We will be having a preliminary meeting to finalize the details, get a head count and make sure everyone knows what's going on next Friday the 12th @ 6pm

Here we would really love to have all that can come so we can discuss the theme, and choose locations and really get the routes and times down for everyone.

Note if we are to continue and do more shoots like this we must be professional and on time. This means not only to the actual shoot but also for the photo's. Since this is a TFCD (Trade for CD) shoot where they donate their time in return for photo's Everyone has to be timely on getting me their images to send to the models and stylist. This way we all gain networking, experience and great images and best of all, The chance to do it again :)
