Strobist/Model Shoot July 25th

Also the question on what to wear has been coming up, Here's what we are thinking for the shoot. We want there to be a variety in the images so all the Models, Photographers and Stylists have lots of variety to take home we are thinking:

It's going to be a mix of Institutional, School, Classy, and Street Clothes so everyone gets a mix of looks

So for starters, Bring a Nice dress, Something you'd wear to school/teacher look. And then Your normal street clothes/what YOU like to wear.

We're really starting to move on the upcomming shoot on the 25th


The Western Burbs Photo Club YLPSDW (You Like Photo’s So Do We!) Is hosting a Strobist/Model shoot on July 25th. Our Location is that of an old Jr. High School in Oswego, IL. We will have access to most of the building so this is going to be an awesome day! We now are for Make Up Artist's (MUA’s) and more Models and Stylists For our shoot. We are also working at finalizing the theme this week so if you have any idea's let us know. So far it's looking like kind of an institutional feel to it and a few ideas have been brought up and we are considering the following:

"One flew over the coocoos nest"
"Romeo and Juliet"
50's Time warp
"back to the future"

We are also posted on MM, MB and FB so if you'd like more information we are there.

Time: 1pm on Saturday July 25th

We will be starting at 1pm and probably be all set up and rolling by 2. I''m figuring around 7 or 8 we'll be done and then maybe go get dinner and chat somewhere together with all those that are up for it. Also just as a side note for those that do have other things going it isn't mandatory to stay the whole day.

This will be a TFCD, shoot with images being sent to the Models within about 3 weeks.

Update:

The date is now set as Saturday July 25th. The locations are still tentative pending response from the facilities and also if anyone else knows of a place we could use PLEASE let me know!


Hey everybody,

We are looking at doing another large YLPSDW! meetup with an emphasis on Strobist and Model shooting like we did on the 18th. This also might be our first inside shoot if things work out. I'm currently looking into a few locations Wa Wa U and Old Traughber. If anyone has any contacts for either or a large open/inside location we could shoot at let me know.

This once again will be an all day affair like last time. ~ 1 and on. Now we I just need input from you guys, What day works best for everybody and what theme/looks do we want to go for the day? More information to come as we get this thing rolling. Read more!
